The merchandising role is comprised of two key elements.

1. Merchandising responsibilities. (70% of job responsibilities)
2. Sales responsibilities. (30% of job responsibilities)

Merchandising Responsibilities

• Executing set up on retail promotional programs as per direction from territory sales managers including secondary display, POS and pass through pricing.

 Every call should also include volume upsell, filling distribution gap, current LTO communication.

• Everyday Merchandising responsibilities include:

 Ensure all distribution on all available cspc’s.
 Ensure pricing alignment as per brand strategy.
 Ensure product placement (shelving) as per company objectives.
 Take initiative to sell in realignment and execute it during the call
 Ensure POS in prominent locations to drive awareness
 Check and assess date codes and secondary packaging.
 Execute secondary display based on brand priorities, at all locations
 On-going communication to territory sales managers to address issues and opportunities outside the scope of merchandising responsibilities.
 Develop customer relationship with consistent service level.

 Assist with implementation of key community events, sponsorship programs and trade functions.

Sales Responsibilities

• Sales responsibilities include:

 Identify and up sell customers on business building opportunities including: LTO awareness, display location, inventory levels, distribution, pricing and shelving.
 Communicate promotional opportunities including LTO’s, new products and special promotions.
 Merchandising position also includes working trade show events, evening functions and tasting opportunities
