Scope of Responsibilities

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing the Brand Champion will:

Translate brand portfolio strategy into execution
Lead program brief development and in-market execution
Manage agency partners to deliver exceptional creative and on-time programming
Know the roles of each brand in local markets. Understand both market and consumer dynamics and appropriately position the portfolio to make the brands profitably come to life in the Western market
Ensure strong ROI on major initiatives
Develop, manage and track program budgets
Must understand how customers sell beer and how consumers choose - regular in-market integration with Regional sales teams
Assisting and managing area contribution P&L to achieve profit objective. Ensure projects are driving value for Great Western.
Support ongoing digital marketing efforts – know the pulse of the consumer via social media activation
Support marketing team in developing presentations
Lead and develop community marketing initiatives

University Degree with preference for a focus in Marketing
3-5 years of progressive experience in consumer packaged goods related positions (internal and/or external); Marketing role
End-to-end knowledge of the competitive beverage or relevant retail and on premise industry processes, economics and purchasing behavior.
Demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement in executing on the deliverables versus just “meeting targets” or completing projects.
Is able to work with other internal teams and GWB partners to establish goals for the deliverables that support corporate and commercial objectives and priorities.
Exceptional presentation skills
Establishes objectives that are both S.M.A.R.T. and involve some “stretch”.
Loves Beer- you wake up and want more Canadian consumers to have a better beer drinking
